Terms of Service

The terms under which Rituelle is offered.

Last updated May 14, 2026

Acceptance

By using Rituelle (the website, the app, and the related services collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Who we are

Rituelle is operated by Sairaj Khope (sole proprietor) trading as Rituelle, based in India. Contact: hello@rituelle.art for general questions, privacy@rituelle.art for data and deletion requests.

The Service

Rituelle is a small daily practice — one drawing prompt per day, a private library of what you make, and an AI-written title and interpretation for each piece. The first sketch is free without an account. After that, a 7-day trial begins when you sign up, followed by an annual subscription.

Your account

You sign in with your email via a one-time link or six-digit code. You're responsible for keeping access to that email address. If you change addresses, update it in Settings; if your email is compromised, ask us to close the account.

One account per person. You must be at least 16 years old to use Rituelle.

Acceptable use

Don't use Rituelle to:

  • Upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have permission to share.
  • Try to bypass authentication, rate limits, or any usage caps in the product.
  • Scrape or extract content from Rituelle in bulk.
  • Submit content that exists primarily to coerce or manipulate the AI into harmful output.
  • Resell, sublicense, or rent the Service to third parties.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where possible we'll tell you why and offer a way back.

Your content

You own your sketches. Always.

To run the Service, you grant Rituelle a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process your content — only for the purposes of providing the Service to you. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account. We won't use your sketches in marketing, on social media, or for training any AI model without asking you first and getting explicit consent.

AI-generated titles and interpretations

Each sketch is briefly sent to Claude (an AI service by Anthropic) to write a short title and interpretation. Per Anthropic's commercial terms, your content is not stored by Claude or used to train any model.

AI output is a creative response, not a fact. We don't guarantee that interpretations are accurate, original, or free of similarity to other outputs. As between you and Rituelle, the outputs generated for you are yours to keep and use personally.

Subscriptions, payment, and refunds

Subscriptions are billed annually by our payment processor, Dodo Payments, who acts as Merchant of Record. Dodo collects payment, handles taxes, and issues your receipt. Their terms apply to the transaction in addition to ours.

The 7-day trial begins on signup. If you don't subscribe before the trial ends, the Service stops accepting new sketches until you do (your existing library stays intact). Subscriptions renew annually unless you cancel before the renewal date in Settings.

We don't offer refunds by default. If something went wrong on our end, email us and we'll make it right.

Termination

You can close your account at any time from Settings → Your library → Delete. We may close accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonable.

On termination: your data is erased within 30 days, except records we're legally required to retain (billing). Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Your content, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Governing law) survive.

Service availability

Rituelle is a small operation. We aim to keep it running smoothly but don't offer an uptime SLA for V1. We may pause or change the Service for maintenance, security, or operational reasons. Material changes will be announced.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be waived by contract.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rituelle and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Rituelle in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) ₹1,000.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold Rituelle harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, including content you upload.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively by the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka. Nothing here waives mandatory consumer rights you may have under your local law.

Changes

We will update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced; the current revision date is at the top of the page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
